Manchester United vs Wigan 5-0 Highlights Video Goals
Manchester United - Wigan 5:0 HD by FootballKing1892
A clinical hat-trick from Dimitar Berbatov and well-taken finishes from Ji-sung Park and Antonio Valencia gave United a second successive five-goal victory and moved the Reds level on points with Manchester City at the head of the Barclays Premier League table.
Park opened the scoring inside 10 minutes and Berbatov added a double either side of the interval, before Valencia blasted home against his former club and Park won a penalty for Berbatov to confidently convert with 10 minutes remaining. City's unexpected stalemate at West Brom means now only goal difference separates the two title rivals.
A much-changed Reds side coped comfortably with widescale reshuffling, though their cause was aided by the harsh dismissal of Wigan striker Conor Sammon for a perceived elbow on Michael Carrick, who again deputised in defence.
Sir Alex Ferguson was forced to make several personnel changes to his side. Phil Jones and Chris Smalling missed out through illness, and were replaced by serial moonlighters Valencia and Carrick. In turn Darron Gibson stepped into midfield while Park took up a berth on the left wing and Nani shunted over to the opposite flank. The visitors, conversely, were unchanged from their previous outing. The Reds' perfect league record against the Latics had been aired repeatedly in the run-up to the match, but Roberto Martinez's side arrived at Old Trafford on the back of successive away wins at Sunderland and West Brom, as well as creditable home draws against Chelsea and Liverpool.

Man Utd vs Crystal Palace Carling Cup Highlights
Palace last beat United in 1991, however, they may take heart from the fact Ferguson's team have not won in their last two matches in all competitions.
Paul Pogba is set to make his full debut for United, while fellow youngsters Ezekiel Fryers, Ravel Morrison, Michael Keane and Ben Amos have been involved in the run to the last eight and will hope to be handed another chance to impress.
United will also have plenty of first-team experience at their disposal, including Brazilian full-back Rafael, who is in line to make his first appearance of the season after a shoulder injury.
Freedman faces a selection quandary ahead of kick-off at Old Trafford in what will be the first of two matches in the space of 48 hours.
Palace host Derby in the Championship on Friday night and Freedman admits there is no way he can play the same side with the games so close together.
The likes of goalkeeper Lewis Price, defender David Wright, midfielders Jonathan Parr, Darren Ambrose and Kagisho Dikgacoi and strikers Jermaine Easter and Steffen Iversen are available for recalls.
Palace, though, are plotting what would be a major upset and boss Dougie Freedman would like to get one over on Ferguson after admitting he did not much care for his fellow Scot during his time as Aberdeen manager.
Ferguson split up the dominance of Rangers and Celtic, and Freedman, who supports the former, is therefore keen for revenge.
But Palace have not won in five matches in the Championship, while United are unbeaten in their last 13 meetings with the Londoners.
Wayne Rooney focused on becoming Manchester United's all-time top goalscorer
The striker is currently on a tally of 158 and has some distance to go before passing Sir Bobby Charlton's feat of 248, but feels he can surpass it in the next five or six years
Rooney has quite a distance to go until he gets close to Sir Bobby’s record, with the former Everton man on 158 goals so far as a Red Devil, but insists he can surpass the target.
He told The Sun: "It would be fantastic if ever I could reach such a record and become the all-time top scorer for Manchester United. I would be absolutely thrilled to do it.
"I look at it and I certainly feel I'm capable of doing it over the next five or six years.
"If I do, then it would be an incredible achievement for me personally.
"I would be so honoured and proud. Sir Bobby Charlton is an absolute legend, a true great and it would be amazing to overtake his record which has stood for so long.
"But while it is an ambition of mine I know that in this game you can't take anything for granted - you can never be sure of anything in football.
"Injuries can happen, all sorts of things can happen but yes, if I stay fit and in form then I have a real chance."

United v Crystal Palace
United v Crystal Palace preview
The Reds look for a place in the last four of the Carling Cup...
Form guide
United have only lost once all season but have been held to consecutive home draws by Benfica and Newcastle. Sir Alex's side breezed through previous rounds of the Carling Cup against Leeds and Aldershot. Palace's trip to Old Trafford is the Eagles' first away assignment in the competition. Dougie Freedman's team haven't scored for five Championship games but three of those have been goalless draws.

Ins and outsThe manager has dropped plenty of hints about his possible team selection. The Da Silva twins, Ezekiel Fryers and Chris Smalling could all play with Mame Biram Diouf and Federico Macheda also promised a run-out. Paul Pogba, Darron Gibson and Ravel Morrison are in contention for midfield spots while Ben Amos is expected to play in goal. Palace will be without on-loan defender Dekel Keinan as he is cup-tied after representing Cardiff in earlier rounds. Another loanee, striker Chris Martin, should be available.
Last meeting
There was stalemate at Selhurst Park in March, 2005, as Palace held out for a draw despite Vassilis Lakis being sent off after 64 minutes. Big guns Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo and Paul Scholes came off the bench but there was no way past home keeper Gabor Kiraly.
